About 'Procession of the King'

This is a simple and upbeat number that portrays the entrance of a regal King. The piece uses mainly quarter notes and eighth notes and provides beginner musicians with a chance to play expressively and with a sense of command. A wonderful arrangement with parts for varying levels. Excellent for general concert performances to showcase developing musicians.

We want to give away this piece because we know that above all, the most important thing is getting it into your hands to try out and judge for yourself with your students.

The Beginner Orchestra pieces are perfect ensemble pieces! I've seen a range of them used last academic year and they worked so well. The kids loved them and orchestra co leaders were so grateful to have them.

About Beginner Orchestra

Beginner Orchestra is backed by a team of orchestra directors from various international schools around the world with a simple goal: To compose high quality pieces of music for beginner orchestras to play.

The concept came from a need. We were all struggling to find good quality music that was suitable for beginning orchestras. The music was either too hard or not differentiated enough to cater for the various range of beginners in our groups. We had to purchase intermediate music and rearrange it, or adapt band/string scores with countless hours of rearranging to get it ready. So, we began writing pieces to suit our groups and Beginner Orchestra was born 🙂

Our scores are written for a full orchestra, with the development of beginner students in mind.

We hope you find them useful too!
